i'm a bit squeamish about doing something as major as a body lift to my truck, i would hate to mess it up. 4wheelparts said they'd charge me $500 for the install.... i'm thinking that it's a bit pricey... does anyone know if that's a good price or not? what is a decent price? where in dallas can i go do this?

Most places will charge 475-550. They are not difficult to do, just time consuming. Most people doing it in their driveway avg install time 1 1/2 days. Most shops say eight hrs. Realistically 4-6 hrs.
Air tools are a must! It depends on knowledge if you should try it or not. Hope that helps, that price is really not bad.

Driveway with 1 or 2 friends...troque wrences a must...air impacts extreemely helpful but not a must....takes about a day DIY but it's free....i didn't have much knowlege of how to do anything going into it....just follow directions very easy....if you need to ask questions ask away...i have some answers.....also check out the tech article about it

you have to be able to get out that bolt in order to do that lift.

its not hard to do, but considering what has to be done, its time consuming and pricey, if you have friends that work in shops or run them, then ask them about doing it there, you help. if it can happen, see if they can do it when the shop isnt open, that way none of their rules have to be followed (insurance reasons - we cant let people in the shop) that kind of thing. when my bro did his, he went to a shop where some of his frineds work, they did it one night in about 6 hours i think, just gotta know the right people
