| We're just finishing up on an Aerostar install into a '55 F100. It's a pretty straightforward deal, the only thing we haven't nailed down yet is the steering linkage. The rack points almost straight up, meaning that you would have to use 3 u joints and a support bearing, or I've heard suggestions to make brackets to rotate the rack towards the rear. I'll wait til I have the steering column in to make that choice. I have some pics posted at http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gall...4&albumid=1490 If you want any measurements or details, let me know. This swap looks like a real attractive alternative to the Mustang II kits, it's beefy enough, has good size brakes and 5 lug hubs, AND it's a LOT less $$$$. I found a 89 Aerostar with a bad trans for only $300!:naughty: You can find more info in the FTE forums http://www.ford-trucks.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi For the rear four link, you might be better off with new stuff like the kits from Speedway Motors. They're not all that expensive, especially considering the fabrication needed to convert an existing one.

| This seems along the lines of what I'm after too, was this just a pull it apart, set it in and look, then cut and paste? I know this over simplifies a very long and difficult task, but you get my point right? Do you have any other pics, or more advice? |

| at the time this seemed like a good idea to me but since i have beend told that this setup is weak for pickup duty....if you only have a small block maybe.......i would still gusset everthing and fill in the lower control arms for strength
