Worth the wait?

Ok i need some advice! I have a debate going on in my head that i just cant get rid of and its coming up fast and i just need some advice on the issue.

First of all my tires are DEAD. They are nearly bald due to bad alignment that i never got fixed.

#1: Upgrade too 33" tires (A/T's now), add a 3" body lift with gap guards... etc. Option cost around $800. BTW i would have to lose the step bars with this option.

#2: Replace the 32" tires with the A/Ts, keep the step bars, and save money by not adding a body lift. Cost of this option, $500.

I would probably just stay with the 32's and get me some A/T's, depends on how bad you want the extra lift

Ok then please let me know how there red... cause the ones that i have bolt down through the cab, through the frame and into the brackets that hold these on... then there are more brackets that go back and attach to the body underneith. I could get longer bolts for the ones that drop through the cab but the other brackets would have to be custom or something.

OK GO TO A HARDWARE STORE, TAKE THE MOUNTING POIECS THE NUT OR WHATEVER AND FIND A LONG PICE OF STEEL, THATS CUT JUST LIKE THE BOLT IE. A 3/4 BOLT GET A 3/4 STEEL PIECE AND GET AS LONG A LENGTH AS YOU THINK YOU NEED, THEN GO PUT EM IN AND TIGHTEN EM IT HELPS IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE HOLD THE TOP OF THE STEEL PIECE SO YOU CAN REALLY TUIGHTEN IT THEN GET A CUTTER WHEEL OR HACKSAW AND CUT OFF THE EXCESS TOP AND BOTTOM BUT LEAVE A LITTLE ROOM TO HOLD IF YOU WANNA TAKE EM OFF AGAIN, AND IT ALL SHOULD WORK OUT FINE,

My 32"s kinda rub the mud flap now when they were new. The alignment will be fixed with either of the options above... and i dont want 35"s. Remember i have a 4cyl. and i want to be able to get on the highway. Also dont do that much offroading so superswampers are out of the question.

I have 4.56 gears and mike im not slow... your just not used to anything but your 6 cylinder. I like it and the last thing i need is speeding tickets.

Ive decided that i am going to upgrade to 33"s and get a 3" body lift (i think), but i have a few questions now about the body lift...

First... My grill guard is frame mounted i believe so that means that im not going to be able to keep that either right? If so im probably going to forget about the extra lift for now.

Second... how hard will it be to add a extension to my manual shifter? Do i have to mess with the tranny a hell of a lot. I have a good feeling that i can do the body lift but the shifter is worrying me.

Third... Well nevermind, i just need the answers to the above first. Thanks.

OK FOR WHAT ITS WORTH,
A, YOUR SHIFTER YOU SHOULD GET AN INCREASE PIECE WITH THE KIT TO MAKE IT LONGER SO YOU CAN USE IT, BUT YOU MAY NOT HAVE TO, IT MAY STILL WORK FINE, IF NOT YOU CAN CUT A HOLE FOR EXTRA ROOM AND THEN IT WORKS OR DO LIKE ME JUST REMOVE YOUR CUP HOLDER AROUND THE STICK AND MINE WORKED FINE AFTER THAT, YOU WONT NEED TO DO ANYTHING TO YOUR TRANNY
B, YOU GRILL GUARD, WELL LETS SEE FRAME MOUNTED DOES IT HAVE ANY BOLTS THAT CONNECT TO BRACKETS AND ALL, IF SOO YOU CAN KEEP IT YOU JUST NEED TO REDO THE BRACKETING AFTER YOU REMOUNT YOUR BUMPER, IF NOT THEN YOU COULD MOUNT IT (WELD IT) TO THE BUMPER OR FRAME AGAIN AFTER YOU REMOUNT IT. LET ME KNOW HOW ITS MOUNTED THOUGH AND I CAN TELL YOU CAUSE I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE
OH AND HOW ABOUT THE STEP BARS

most body lift kits dont come with extensions for the shifter or the grill guard.. Well i know they dont on the F150s.. so i seriously dought they will for the ranger. they only come with bumper relocations.. and thats only if you get the 3 inch.. they dont if you go with the 2..

It wouldnt be that hard to make a bracket for your grill guard.. Alot of people do it. and on your shifter.. the Ford one is SOOO freakin long anyway that it should be ok also.

lol! Yeah right. Anyways i ordered it. Upgraded my tires from 32x1150r15 to 33x1250r15, so higher and wider and also ordered the 3" body lift kit for the ranger. Were gonna see what happens i guess.
