add-a-leaf

what exactly are add-a-leafs and would it look/work good on my 87 4x4?

add a leaves are an extra leaf that gets put in your leaf springs. they generally add 1- 2 additional inches! remember now that if you add just add a leaves you will sit very nose down. you will either need coil spacers for the front or new 2" lift springs to even this out. that is what i did with mine. for $185 from 4 wheel parts wholesalers i got a 2 inch lift made by skyjacker and included (2) 2" lift coil springs and (2) add a leaves for the rears and took about a total of 2 hours to install! and it looked great! especially when i combined that with the 3" bodylift.

it should work on your truck i had it done and then i leveled it but its, i wanna get my springs stretched now to give a little more upfront, but it looks good, id reccomend it

i am going to do it eventually. i think instead of coil spacers i might but the fabtech leveling kit on but then i will put add a leafs so the back is just a little higher than the front for when i tow.
