Question Frankenstein

Hello All, :wavey:

Just joined and thought I'd say hi. I live in Longwood FL (just north or Orlando). I have a '05 F150 Lariat SuperCab (suicide doors) with the 5.4L Triton and Tow Package. It has the 6.5' bed with a BedRug liner and a JackRabbit roller tonneau cover. Mainly for hauling motorcycles and home improvement supplies.

The reason I joined is my Daughter's boyfriend's '69 F100 Frankenstein project. A transplanted '77 Granada 302 / C4 replaced the original 240 / Fordomatic, along with its power steering and column it appears. It has econoline front disks and power brakes, what year I'm not sure. It needs a lot of TLC, but for now just trying to get it road worthy and (somewhat) reliable.

That's where I'll need your help. I've already rebuilt the 2150 carb (with '79, not '77, markings) and got all the lights and turn signals working after installing a new canceller cam and a ton of crimp splices. Need to get it up on the rack to see why the front end (steering) is so sloppy. Brakes need work too, acting like the power booster is shot and the left rear locks up on hard braking.

Before I get too long winded, where should I post to get information on the Granada pieces? I want to get the shop manuals but need to know where to look for the numbers on the engine, transmission and steering to get the correct year (after a good degreasing of course!). Kind of a chicken and egg problem...

One other thing while I'm thinking about it. How do I get the blasted avatar pic to 'stick'? I want to use a pic of my truck within the 155x155 <19K limits. I can click save image all day but it won't accept it. Won't even let me use the pre-canned ones. FAQ's didn't help but maybe I'm just dense.

Thanx in advance!
