I bought my wagon going on 3 years ago pretty rough but managed to replace the rusted out floor boards etc, turned out pretty good for someone who never touched a welder a little bondo and carpet who will ever see all of the mistakes

So I went looking for a motor ended up with a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis Park lane Station Wagon 5.0 and AOD from an auction $300.00 ran great I removed all the wiring front to rear and put it in the wagon

then set up the engine and trans for the trasplant used stock early 302 mounts oil pan wouldn't clear cross member 3/8 plate fixed it, modified the trans cross member and bolted every thing in in place and looks good.
Now the wiring or should I say it looked like a mass of chicken guts (or reasonable facsimile there of)

and maybe I should have bought the wiring harness

and struggleing with wiring diagrams from a 55 ford and a 1986 Merc,

every thing finaly came together and the electrical is partally completed I have basic lights brake, turn stop etc.
My plans are to run 2 1/2'' exhaust and a set of good flow masters from a set of headers from a 85 Mustang.
I can see it is going to be another year before it hits the road but I know it will be worth it despite all the frustrations
