Thanks for all the great comments, and warm welcomes. I appreciate it. I am glad to see that nobody feels offended by our airbrushing. You wouldn't believe some of the things we've heard before.

I think you have 2 very good looking trucks Wayz. (don't really care for the "ghetto" spelling. The plural of way is wayS, but that's my problem) If you're talking about the stars and bars on the red truck,
or what appears to be an american flag on the lifted black one, no I'm not offended. I for one am sick and tired of the "politically correct" types telling me what I should and shouldn't like.
In the beginning I just ignored them. I guess they saw that as some sort of weakness. Because they got bolder and more arrogant and obnoxious. Well no more.
The last time I had one of these jerks get in my face because I didn't agree with HIS POINT OF VIEW. I told him I respect his right to spit on and burn an American flag
as a sign of political protest. If he would respect my right to punch out his lights for doing it. Just before I retired, I was 60-61 at the time. I was speaking with a coworker.
I made a statement to the effect that at my urging my wife had always been a stay at home mom. That's the way I was brought up and that's the way I liked it.
A 30 something female supervisor overheard me and came storming over. She got in my face and started poking me in the chest with her finger.
She said something about this being the 21st century and I had better get in touch with my feminine side. I grabbed her wrist and told her that the last time I looked, I was male,
that I had testicles and a penis and I didn't have a feminine side. Also if she didn't get her finger out of my chest I'd break it off and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
I will listen to your point of view and allow you to try to change my mind with facts and intelligent dialog. If you will allow me to do the same.
I will discuss/debate anything at anytime, with anyone. But I will not allow anyone to shout me down or intimidate me.
Whenever I have to fill out a form, like at a Dr. office, hospital, etc. When I come to the part that says "ethnic origin" I am offended.
There are places for African-American, Mexican-American, Asian-American, Native-American, and a few other hyphenated Americans. At the bottom of the list is WHITE.
I don't consider myself an Italian-American. I'm an AMERICAN whose parents just happen to come from Italy. So now I check OTHER and write in that I'm "European-American."
If asked what this is, I tell the questioner that it's a white person who only speaks english. I don't consider myself a bigot, sexist, or any of the other labels that mean,
I'm some sort of an intolerant, prejudiced person. There are black people I like and black people I don't like. Mexicans I like and Mexicans I don't like, Women I like and Women I don't like.
If that makes me a throwback, so be it.

So my dear young lady, yes you have the RIGHT to customize you personal vehicle any way you want. If others have a problem with that, then it's their problem. Not yours.

I apologize to everyone for getting on a soapbox about this. It's a subject that always hits a nerve with me.
I've been told by friends that I make "Rush" look like a wimp when I get on this subject. (No I don't consider myself a conservative.)

Re: New to the site

Well said, well put, Memphis.
Thank You so much for expressing your feelings. I understand how you feel with striking a nerve. I actually did the tailgate on my red truck over because I had so many dirty looks, and was called a racist for having the confederate flag on my tailgate. And of course, that wasn't the case.
