have you seen x-raying of cars?

i've seen xrays of cars before, i think they do it when they're analysing crash tests.

it's quite common to xray small parts of cars or planes to look for stress fractures or imperfections. Pistons, Rods, Cranks, and Valves are all xrayed (if you get good ones) to make sure they're up to scratch.

it's pretty common to have random weld testing in a manufacturing process. We use human welders so we get anything from 10-100% NDT (non destructive testing) but i imagine with a car factory using robotic spot welding they would only test like 1-2% and even then, only the structural welds...

x-raying never heard of that concept before, perhaps a pic can serve better.
