Yo, Redranger! 15k freefall-that was sleepytime for the unit I served in!

Our regular insertions were HALO-generally 30-40k, with a freefall to around 2500 before popping the silk.

Seriously-what unit do you serve with? 24 years with the Navy-retired in 2000.:thumbsup:

Now employed as Director of Security for a major DoD/Civilian Airline contractor. My other talent is answering Thunderbird questions.:fordsrule:

We used to get chewed on big time if we went lower than 2500. Served with SEAL 6, 2 and the infamous Red Cell under Marcinko-you have probably read some of the Rogue Warrior series of books.

The regs wouldn't let us pop the silk lower than 2500 because they determined that by the time we opened our systems we would have closed down to around 1500.

I've done the water jumps-things are a pain in the ass, and we lost more people there than in night jumps.

Hoo-Yah!

damn man, seal 6 ive read alot about you guys most of our training is done in conjunction with the teams, and we arent supposed to pull lower than 1500, but we practice the no pull procedures alot and im good at down to 500, i love the water, i love it all though actually, night jumps though, depending on where can be tricky, but i like the water its always get to get that refreshing splash after a nice freefall and then untie a heavy ass chute 30 feet underwater, but seal 6 your probably alot more water friewndly than me
hoo rah

That's cool. The talent that I'm most "passionate" about would probably be singing! I'm pretty good too...not to brag or anything!
