?...why a ranger?

Curious...seems ranger owners are the majority here. Why a ranger and not a f150?
was it economics, style or size. I my self am tall 6,4"or so, so a bigger truck
is more comfortable. Also I have a family, so a back seat is neccessary. I own a
supercrew, my old truck was a ex-cab f150. I couldn't go down in size to a ranger.
Good trucks both of them, just used to bigger truck. Enough of my babbling, let me
know why a ranger I'd like to know.

Rangers seem to come A LOT cheaper. I dont have one but my bf does. He is also 6'4" and has the seat pushed against the back window but he fits. It is all someone can afford. I like F150s better but hey, what can a person do.

I've got an older model F-150 ('79 model), and like it to work out of. I've also got a '94 Ranger, which is a lot cheaper to operate. I like both of my trucks, but the little Ranger is better for most of my needs.

I have a 98 Ranger for one simple reason...When I was about to graduate high school and go to college my grandma took me to the dealership and said you can have one or the other and wrote a check. My choices were a sorry ass S-10 or Ranger...No choice at all.

I was very happy at the time...Now that I have had 4 yrs I would like to buy a bigger truck, but dont think I don't love my ranger. My wife says I care about it more than her.

SCrew to me the Ranger is simply more fun to drive, though I love fullsized trucks and hope to one day own a super duty with a blown 6.8 v10 and the lightning would be very fun to drive...but for the money the ranger is where its at.

Shoot, i chose a ranger becasue i loved the looks of the edge model far better then the f-150! Plus im not RICH so i was limited on funds! Plus. im over 6 foot tall and i fit fine in my ranger (extended cab)!

P.S = i all ready think we had one of these debates over rangers and f-150, lets not start this up agian!

That's cool! I wasn't trying to hate on rangers. I have noticed f150s with V6 sell about the
same as rangers.I used to own minis and such and was wonder maybe I was missin' something.

I have had both Rangers and F150's. The Rangers are the best value for the money in my opinion. The v6 F150's really suck when it comes to gas mileage and power. I had both a v6 and the 4.6. The 4.6 got better mileage. I would not go back to the bigger trucks.
