Black Magic Car Wax

The top two waxes (Consumer Report's Best Buy Awards) were Black Magic Wet Shine Liquid Wax BM48016 and Turtle Wax Carnuba Car Wax T-6. Both cost $7.

I'm going to give Black Magic a try. I've been spending alot more on waxes these past couple of years

Re: Black Magic Car Wax

I've been using Adams products for the last few years. I've been extremely happy with the results.
Will admit it's a bit pricey @ $16 for a 12oz bottle though.
Let us know which wax you use and what you think of the results.

Interesting. I've used Meguiar's Products for years, try other stuff and always go back to Meguiars.

I too used and was quite happy with Meguire's products for years. Was surfing the web one day and ran across the Adams site.
I decided to give them a try. I liked what I saw and IMO it gives a better shine. Of course that's just my subjective opnion.
As I said earlier, their products are a bit on the pricey side. Their polishes/waxes run from $16 to $25 for a 12 Oz. bottle.

Ditto. Tried a few Mother's products. Didn't care for them. Especially their "Power Ball." I purchased 2. One to clean my chrome wheels,
the other to keep the plastic headlight and tail light lenses clean. At $35 a pop their useless. Spend your money on a Flitz ball. Much better product IMO.

Re: Black Magic Car Wax

Say FordFan: Have you tried the Black Magic yet? If so, are you impressed with the results?

Re: Black Magic Car Wax

Not yet. I want to get one wax in before it gets too cold here in Illinois so I think I'll be using it soon. Will post results.

Re: Black Magic Car Wax

Black Magic is ok, but is labor intensive. I like CR, but they missed on this one. Meguiars and Einsetts, Ice in between. Nano spray ok, but streaks a little.

Re: Black Magic Car Wax

I think waxes are extremely subjective to the person using them, but there are a few consistently liked ones. I use Black Magic. It's not the best by any means, but it's pretty cheap and won't run me broke for wax. :)

Re: Black Magic Car Wax

I agree with you. I tried Black Magic once. The result was ok, but I practically needed shoulder surgery when I finished, which for me negated the price advantage. If you have dark color, then I would recommend trying Meguiars Gold Class, about 10 bucks. This is just slightly more than Black Magic. On dark colors in particular, it gives a deep rich shine. I think I have tried almost every wax out there. Some of them are extremely pricey, you are right, and not worth it. Now, if price is really a super high priority with you, you can still buy Johnsons Kit, at about 2.99. Just plan on calling 911 about halfway through,ha.
