Re: Fords from Europe

Yeah, mostly are diesel engines, 2.0 4cyl, and 1.6 gasoline.......

Why? hmm... you think fuel is expensive in U.S.A?

Well.... 1 LITER = 1 US Dollar in Croatia.... How's that for a price...?

That's why most of drivers in Croatia have installed LPG system in their cars...
Basically, these cars run on dual fuel sistem...gasoline and propane...
You just select the fuel you want, knowing that the liter of gas is much cheaper than the gasoline....

1L of gasoline= 8 kunas ( 1 dollar ) more-less
1L of LPG gas= 3 kunas ....
1L of diesel= 8 kunas.....

Only difference is that our fuel has greater octane number than yours...
( gasoline is unleaded 95, and super unleaded 98.. I use the 98, which is better for my car..)

Re: Fords from Europe

Well, yeah, since the fuel is expensive, we use propane...all over the Europe we have gas pumps which refill the gas in car...I have the system which is inserting the gas directly into cylinders, so you really can't tell the differnce on which fuel does the car really go....I have the ''light box'' which tells me am I on LPG or gasoline....

It's the hit number one in Europe...All over Germany, Italy, U.K., and elsewhere...

1. Extremely low pollution
2. Economy ( low price of Liquide Propan Gas )
3. Greater mileage... ( LPG+ gasoline in my car = cca 1000 miles... )

more info on LPG system in my car here:

LANDIRENZO OMEGAS multipoint sequential injection system fitted by Central Garage (Carcroft)

( the only one in English I could find )

Re: Fords from Europe

Cool pics! Wish some of our cars here had more of that look....always preferred the euro focus to ours over here.

What is the lever behind the shifter? Is it e-brake/park brake?

Yes, it's a parking brake on Ford S-max, minivan which is car of the year 2007 in Europe....jet plane style......yeah, we have Focuses...but our major pain in the ass is the german Opel ( bloody GM ), which is the fastest selling car in Croatia...In Europe the Ford off course...although Focus showed much more better characteristics...suspension, engine, and other stuff...
