Post problem with pc

Hello,
I am having trouble with my Internet explorer. It is doing some very odd things.Sometimes it will completely close the page i am visiting for no reason or it will be very slow loading pages and when i say slow i mean very very very slow for eg i tried to google something and after 10 minutes of the page trying to load i gave up.I thought that it was perhaps the topic i was searching so i tried putting in random things to see if that made any difference but it didn't.Another problem i had was when i was on a forum and clicked on a link and nothing happened i tried to open a new tab and that wouldn't work either and it would let me access any options that are in my tools menu.i had to restart my computer.Just to let you know i have high speed Internet connection. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me with this problem.

It's more than likely spyware and/or adware. Make sure you do a full system scan with Spybot & AdAware (Google those terms and you should be brought straight to the download page) - using both will clean up your system well.

Actually yeah, getting a mac will probably solve all your issues. Then again I guess you wouldn't have $2000 at your disposal!

Not really. MACs come pretty well equiped these days. You can get a Mac lap top for just a little over a grand. Desktops for even less

It's definitely trojans. Download the SpyBot- Search and Destroy.
Run it and destroy the trojans.
Another way to get rid of the problem is to restore your system.
By doing that, the problems the trojans cause will go away but the trojans will still be there.
The best thing to do is to download the bot but the simple thing to do is just restore.

+ 2  Last year I purchased a new I-Mac with a 20" screen and more memory and software than I'll ever use.
Cost me a little over $1200 including tax. It came with Safari and I downloaded Firefox at the urging of some
knowledgeable friends that said it was the only way to fly. I use them both, sometimes at the same time.
I like them both but for whatever reason I'm more comfortable with Safari. I also have IE that I had downloaded years
ago and came over with the files I transferred from my old computer. I can't remember the last time I used IE.
My daughter like most people has a PC with windows. When I spend time there it drives me crazy trying to use her computer.
I'm by no stretch of the imagination an expert, I consider myself a average "computer challenged" senior.
It's embarrassing having to ask my 10, 13 and 15 year old grand crildren for help when I'm there.
So I don't want to get into a discussion of PC vs Mac. I don't have enough knowledge of how computers work and how to use
them to talk intelligently about the subject. After having tried both over the last 20 years or so, I just know what I like.
In all the years I've owned-used Macs I've never had one attacked by any kind of virus. I have never purchased/downloaded
any kind of anti-virus software. Don't know it that's because Mac's are that good or there just aren't enough of them out there
to be worth writing virus programs for. Don't really care either.
IMHO I think Mac's are more user friendly. For me that's the bottom line.

Re: problem with pc

I still think they are much more expensive. I just bought a pc laptop with Vista. with rebates it was $700. The cheapest MAC laptop was $1100 or $1200 and didn't come close to the performance of this machine. You can get alot more bang for your buck with a PC
