No Mustangs for sale in lower 48? Texan buyer? - Ford Motor Forums

A friend of mine has a 77 Mustang II for sale here in Canada, and has been contacted by a guy from Texas who wants to but it. It has seen several winters (read road salt) and this guy from Texas still wants to buy it.

Are Mustang IIs that rare that Americans have to come to Canada to buy one? Are there not any for sale in the lower 48 States, that he has to drive 1300 plus miles to buy a car?

What are your thoughts?

Seems kind of odd to me, just because most people don't care for the II's....but there are the few that love those cars and would more than likely make the trek that far to get one. Come to think of it, I'm in North Texas and I think I've maybe seen a handful of II's in the 8 years I've been here. Most were coupes and were thrashed. I do, however, see more at the race track. They make perfect drag racers.

I find it hard to believe that a American would have to travel to Canada to buy a Mustang II. If it was completly built and in amazing condition, than yes, they could love that particular car. To buy a Mustang II that has been exposed to Canadian winters and road salt, when they have so many places that do not expose their vehicles to this crud. I would have to say this Texan can't be looking hard enough, or needs a excuse to come visit our beautiful country...LOL

One for Ripley's believe it or not.
I have seen 3 different Pony's for sale when I go to Quinlan. And there not of the II style.
