rear end

who knows where i can get a rear end cheap for my truck.did a diff service last weekend and found out that my spider gears are fu!@# and so is the rear clutch for em and all the techs at my shop say it would be eaiser and cheaper if i were to buy a new one and i think so as well. found one for 450.00 at LKQ junkyard but i wanna try and find somthing alittle cheaper. greenleaf tried to charge me 750.00 for it so thats out of the question.
its a 7.5 inch rearend with positrac and 10 inch brakes wanna try and get 4:10 gears but i can settle with 3:73 if i have to

It depends on what it will be used for. The 7.5 will hold up to light racing and off roading (up to a 33 in tire) If you are going to take it to the track every week and run all day/night long/going off road all day/night long, go with an 8.8 If I were you, I would get an explorer or newer ranger ORP/FX4 8.8, they are 31 spline and are stronger than the 28 spline found in most older rangers.

the rear out of the FX4 level 2 is exceptional....the 31 spline is the better of the 2 but the 28 gets the job done quite well

A bronco 2 axle is narrower than a ranger axle which is good for tuck

If you change the gears, nothing will bolt up the first time. They will need to be done by a profesional
