My cousin and I just installed a throttle body spacer on his '01 Super Crew. It has the 5.4 triton. It only took about 15 minutes, tops, from start to finish and was a snap. No real seat of the pants difference in power, but it does suggest a K&N filter to help in flow. It has a real slight hiss at full throttle, but nothing your wife would complain about. He does seem to notice better gas mileage, so for the money, and if you're planning future mods to your truck, I would call it worth the $100. Hope this helps anyone else if you're thinking about the Helix Power Tower. Good luck!!

I have never heard anything good about the helix before. if you havent noticed an increase in power, it hasnt met the advertisements promise of power and increased fuel economy, pretty much what I am saying is how can you advise someone else to buy something that uses false advertising?

If you read it again, you will notice that he did get a raise in MPG. Also, it is designed to go along with future mods, i.e., K&N filter, bigger throttle body, and such. Peanut butter just isn't the same without Jelly. A thong just isn't the same without two nice butt cheeks. See what I mean? All I'm saying is that he was happy with it, and he thought maybe others would, too. It's not nitrous, its not a blower, but it is a start.:thumbsup:

I read the post, I have also read the advertisement, yes he found he gained more mpg, but that is only half of the promise the ad gives, 50 percent of a promise to me is simply a lie. regaurdless, if he is happy I suppose that is all that matters.

I've had that on two F150s. Both 4.6 V8s. Noticed mid-range improvement(w/cruise on, truck doesn't downshift so agressive on hills), mileage
improvement arguable. From what I've read the TBS helps most in midrange. Both trucks had K&N FIPK also. I'm too lazy to take it off my present
truck or I would. The whistle is annoying to my wife(means she drives truck less..hehehe). Personally I would put money towards exhaust or intake mods.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
