Talking I actually won a race too!

I was driving down the interstate and somethin doesnt feel right. My truck kind of hiccuped, I was driving along and the RPMs dropped and then soared then went to normal. I thought this was odd so I refer to my cockpit control panel (aka gauges) and my fuel is at half a tank and I have only gone 150 miles. I usually get 200-225 at about half a tank. I cruise to my exit and get off. (the internstate, get your mind out of the gutter :nono: )

I figure maybe I got some buildup, she hasnt been run at full throttle in quite some time so I get to the red light right off the interstate and pull up next to an older 95-96 or so F-150. The light turns green and I get up to about 4,000 RPMs, the conditions on the road werent right to floor it.

I get to the next light and a chevy pulls up with an older guy in it (28-38) with a little girl in the passenger seat. It was extended cab 4x2 I imagine it had what, a 4.8 liter v8? I think thats what they come with now, not sure. Now the conditions were right to floor it, I figure he is to old to take my "agressive" launch the wrong way, so I just sit there waiting on the light to turn green, I dont look at him, I dont want to start anything. The light turns green and he floors it, well I was gonna floor it anyway but he took me by suprise, I have never seen anyone race without being intimidated. So we go through the red light right next to each other, I am about to let off (I had accomplished what I wanted, I wanted to rev it high) and I figure what the heck, and keep on it. Half way through second gear he pulls ahead and next thing I know I do a hard shift into third and pull on him, by the time I am in the top of third I am a truck length ahead (19 feet) and when I hit fourth I pulled two and then quit.

Just so everyone knows I have a 99 F150 extended cab with 32 inch tires, 4.10 rear end, intake, superchip, and flowmaster exhaust and a 4.2 liter V6. He might have been lowered a bit, I couldnt tell, other than that he looked pretty stock.

I was pleased with my mods. Never seen em in action, probably never will again. Once in a lifetime thing.

Waldo = 2
Chevy = 0

(I got a high score because I dont go for cars I cant beat, I am not an idiot, I know my truck is slow, all I have tried so far is an Extreme and this guy)

Way to go Waldo!! Go for some ricers....with my heavy truck and 4.6 V8 I can still take some modified ricers. I don't get 'em off the line but, once I'm rollin' I can take 'em(most of them!). The turboed cars I stay away from. Go get ya a ricer next!! hehehe

if you can't beat a ricer, just run over them... most of the ricers are small enough to fit under a stock 4X4 Ranger right? Might get caught on the wing on the back, but other than that, they are like ski jumps... you can get some pretty good air off the front end of a lowered Prelude. My old truck did that.
