I had had an interest in Daytonas for a while, they always looked so cool, plus a family member owned one. When that person wanted to sell I jumped on it. $1800 bucks canadian and there was a low mileage rust free Daytona in the drive way.

I love everything about the car, The long nose & hood, the huge plate of glass in the rear hatch, the heavy and wide swinging doors. If the car was set a few inches lower it would just scream muscle car. The interior design is great and flows nicely. The motor gurgles and rumbles with my Flowmaster super 40 on the back end, but growls like a mitsu built OHC V6 is supposed to at higher RPM's.

Guys i go to school with who are leasing brand new cobalts are still giving me comments on my 16 year old car. :)

Theres a 2.5 turbo sitting in a busted ass caravan in my high school. Theres a 2.2 turbo I 5 speed daytona in a scrapyard 2 miles away from my house. But i still want my V6. A 5 spd conversion with some decent bolt ons would make me happy. (58MM TB, intake plenum spacers, Forward Motion pulleys, larger injectors, etc.

My point is that this car is supposed to take me through university. i need it to be reliable so im just keeping the V6 in good shape until i have the time and money for a motor swap.

I like the way you think. If I would have had that kind of foresight 50 years ago I'd be driving a 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint, or a 1965 Corvair Corsa.
I have to say of all the cars I've owned/driven in the last 52 years, the Alfa is my all time favorite.

Re: Why you chose your car?

well i chose mine because it is like sitg in a leather recliner down the interstate and i can run with most of the local big boys and i can smoke all the little s***heads with the ricers around and still get 24+ mpg. I got the TA for the 4 speed fun and the classic looks no need to go stupid fast with it yet. I hope to add a fiero to the lineup this next year for the curves

Re: Why you chose your car?

10 years ago I chose with looks and power, today I chose a car with efficiency in mind with the price of gas/petrol the way it is in the Uk we don't have much choice it seems to me!

Re: Why you chose your car?

i chose a ford focus because it is one of the best affordable small cars and it's more solid and drives like a larger car.I also preferred it due to fuel economy and a clean four-cylinder engine.

Re: Why you chose your car?

Due to having 3 children, I needed a 4-door vehicle.

Living in CO I wanted a 4X4.

Wanted both a gasoline & E85 capable vehicle.

Drove all '06 & '07 1/2 ton trucks and thought this was the best overall truck on the market.

Re: Why you chose your car?

When I look for a car I just want it to be trouble free.I tend to look for the vehicle having minimum maintaining costs,as I hate to visit the service centers.I tend to go in for popular car which needs servicing after longest time and so no diesel vehicle for me.I then sell off after some time, when it demands maintaining costs and buy new one again.Durability is the word!
