I think just the rear fin alone qualifies it as rice!

It's actually not bad...minus the useless tall wing that is.

I don't really like the hood or the wang. Otherwise looks pretty good. I test drove an 07 4 dr civic SI the other day and it was really nice but very slow. I'm sure this is considerably faster. But by how much... I don't know.

type-r's are faster then the si's however they really shine with the suspension setups....unbelievable control behind the wheel...probably some of the best suspension technology evAr hehe...my friend brought over a ek9 from japan, stripped everything off and put it on a DX here in the states so he could have left handed steering....that car was AMAZING and it was also lighter then the type r so it was even faster :yesway:

and that wing does have a purpose...just FYI...every upgrade that Mugen produces on the Type-R has a positive performance gain on that car..it's just that we see so many ricers with that kind of thing, we forget that sometimes some cars actually do need them...the type r is made specifically for auto cross applications...that's where honda really shines ;)

and mugen isn't "stock" it's aftermarket tuner co. for Honda...they've upgraded the type r through there suspension, bodywork, braking and exhaust systems and i think some engine mods are going to be in the mix this year when it comes out in the fall as well

Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down the Mugen Civic at all.
Even for autox, that wing is useless because wings don't normally play a huge roll until 50+mph. Since autox has tight turns, I don't think it has a role there. Perhaps closed course tracks to help keep the rear tight against the ground at speeds.
The track that the vid shows is ideal for a winged FWD/RWD ;)

Took my evo wing off for a while. I'm told it starts to do something after 85MPH or so. I think it looks better with out it but I don't want to spend $500 + to get the holes fixed right now.

I'm ultimately gonna get a carbon fiber hatch and was thinking about running wingless myself... maybe... :naughty:
