What gear does that hook up. So they killed the AWD and put in the LS1. Great motor but wrong application. fucking stupid

This reminds me of the original Grand Tourismo game, when you buy a car then buy every mod possible for it only to find out that the thing is too powerful to drive! Great for time trials but horrible on the track. Just my analogy! Of course this thing would probably be terrible at time trials as well since you would probably have a difficult time staying hooked up on the takeoffs!:morons:

To each his own. Sure I'd drive it too. But if it were my check book I wouldn't be comfortable destroying a $30,000 car that was AWD. Slapping in an $6000 + motor depending on condition. Removing the AWD from the car and then not being able to hook up in any gear.

Someone posted it on ohiocustoms. I have a bunch of LS_? leghumpers over there. They loved it. I'm impressed with the fab work but think it's a dumb idea but to each his own.

I will tell you like this, I've seen it done to a lot of cars, s2000, porche, miata, even the solstice (spelling?) where you drop in and ls1 or ls6 and just call it good. fabbing, yes, powerful and fun yes, but more often than not...a waste.

A volvo I remember reading about that did something a lil bit too much with an ls engine...

And a civic, but this is just a long read, shows fabbing and everything, and there are some very stupid posts, but the pics are looking well, I just don't know why...

If you had an EVO with a blown 4G63 and an LSx hanging around why not. I know all the people that don't understand, but I dig it (and would love to drive it) and the weight of the aluminum LSx is not that much more than the iron block 4G63.

Looks like it doesn't hook up for shit. Ya its fun and all. If the guy had the shell and the motor why not. I'd drive it for sure. It just seems like a waste of an AWD evo.

There is a dude here in Alabama that slapped a Turbo LS1 in an RX7. (Hinson Supercars)

The thing ran 8.70's at Hot Rod Magazines Drag week and drove the 1500 miles between the 5 race tracks...Alla he did was put slicks on it.
