So I take it this isn't the same 2.0 Ecotec that the Cobalt SS received, given the bump in horsepower. Then again, maybe it just makes more power w/ the turbo vs. the S/C? From what I've heard about the current Solstice, I can only imagine this is going to be a brilliant car.

thats not bad at all. i cant wait to see what the stats are on that. and i think it is mainly becuase of the turbo that it produces more than the ss or redline, but i was never really into ecotecs. this is what the sportcompact world needs, a small turbo rwd car thats really fairly cheap. i dont know the mazdaspeed miata never really took off, but thats about the only other one i can think of.

VTEC is NOT a power adder. Your car doesnt make more power in VTEC, it just makes less power out of VTEC.

No the MazdaSpeed Miata really didn't seem all that popular (although to be fair it's a great car too), but that may have been a result of the aftermarket for the Miata by the time they released it (my estimation, don't really know).
