Mercury Topaz GS.

3.0L Vucan V6
5 spd
-open up the exhaust and intake.
-put in some quality parts
HAVE FUN!
If u bash it, don't worry, its a Topaz, plus insurance is low.

Eh, Hyundai has really gotten it's act together in the past few years. Its tied with Honda for second in initial quality, behind Toyota.

Which brings me to the Focus, or why not a Scion tC? Miata?

Is there any particular reason the Mustang is your #1 choice? I mean everything you listed are really different from one another - do you have any kind of guidelines for what your looking for?

I just want a nice 2 door, 4 seater(preferably). I don't really have too many guidelines, but I really like the Mustang because they're pretty cheap and easy to make very fast. I can get a 2000 5spd with 35k miles on it for 7.5 grand.

yeah but your insurance is going to be through the roof....seriously that's something you really need to consider...not unless your parents are filthy rich and can afford it :dunno:

12? I dont remember exactly how many, but I got rid of all of them for various reasons. Most were GM's, and most of them fell apart.

Gm's fall apart unless you keep flawless time for oil changes and tune ups ect..ect.. if you maintain 'em they last for a long ass time. if you don't well your gonna be pushing it home.

ohh and callaway get a 93-95 jeep wrangler, tough as fuck not very fast unless you mod the shit outta them (it's cheap tho). but those fuckers stock have got some get up and go untill u hit bout 70 MPH. but unless you know how to handle a jeep really well i wouldnt go any faster that 68.

It's not the mechanics, they are usually ok. It's everything else, namely the interior.

I wish I could find something for $1800! I'm paying $3000 a year right now, and it's killing me.

IDK, I've never really looked too much at the mileage of a car. If you get in it, and drive it around, you can tell what condition the car is in. On that Integra, things like the axle boots and most of the bushings will crap out before the engine ever runs into any problems.

Honestly, get something used and cheap. If you're like me, you go to parties, you go out to eat, you go drive around for shits and giggles with friends, you do stupid things in your car (360s in the movie parking lot FTW!). Your car is going to get scratched, dented, banged, torn up, bottomed out, keyed, burned out, spun around in circles, and abused for shits and giggles. So don't spend a ton of money to just buy your first car with a pristine paint job and spotless engine bay.

Just my $0.02

I definitally see where your coming from but all i have to save is 4000 so why not get a nice car. What it comes down to is, however much money i saved in 6 months is going to directly be proportional to the car I get. btw, where do you live in PA? allentown here.

I live right next to Quakertown :yesway: You're like maybe an hour away from me, if that.

I'm just telling you what I'm going through here. My car continously has dents just "pop up" on it out of nowhere, and it's scratched to all hell. Really pisses me off, it could be a really awesome car if the paint and body wasn't so dented. (Photoshop + choice angles means you really can't see them)

Good luck though, I've spent god only knows how much on my car to date, and it's only going to get more expensive from here on out.

My first car was a junker tauras. I wrecked it twice. Lucky it never caused any real damsages but to my car. If I was you I would buy an older miata. Not really that fast but the "feel" fast and are a blast to drive. I had a '99 miata.
