My Grandsons first P/U Truck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Santa will be delivering this truck to my grandson (the young man in the photo) on Christmas morning. Notice I'm starting him out right with a F O R D It's an F150 STX. Max speed while he has his learners permit will be 2 MPH. When he masters how to drive it that will be increased to a neck snapping 5 MPH. It comes with cup holders (to hold his bottle) and a real working FM radio. It also comes with those 3 little words that strike fear into the hearts of all dads and granddads on Christmas morning. " SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED." More photos to follow after Christmas day. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

Re: My Grandsons first P/U Truck As promised. Here are the photos of my grandson on Christmas morning. I'm starting him out early on his trip to "redneckdom." Because the trucks a convertible I'm having a hard time figuring out how to mount the gun-rack and rifles. Actually "Red Rider" B.B. guns. (No he won't shoot his eye out.) His dad and I are working on the rack. All shined up and ready to go. ![]() Come on dad. Let's go pick up chicks. .................................................. ..................................No dad, the radio is NOT to loud. ![]()

Re: My Grandsons first P/U Truck Hi Jeff, Welcome to the site and Happy New Year. A few facts about my grandson. The first photo of the 2 of us together is about a year old. He was about 9-10 months old at the time. The ones of him in the truck of course were taken Christmas morning. He's now 20 months old. He'll be 2 in March. As soon as he spotted the truck in the yard he knew it was his. He ran out and climbed right in. He grabbed the wheel and started imitating what he sees his parents do every day. DRIVE. He couldn't figure out the "gas" pedal though. We hope his 7 y.o. brother will teach him to use that. About the radio. It only has 2 buttons, On/Off & Seek and a dial for volume control. It took him all of 5 seconds to figure out the On/Off and Seek buttons. The volume control took a bit longer. He seems to like ROCK music played LOUD. His preference is I'm sure influenced by his 3 teenage sisters.
