I have always wanted one of these, and now I have one! The regular price at ccity was $379. I watched this open box one for about 2 months, and I got it for $289. A day after it was installed, the blue lighted screen on the outside quit working, so I took it back up. After about an hour, my buddy in the roadshop told me it was all fixed. I asked him what he did, and he said "I just put in a new one." So I got a brand new player for the price of an open box one. I was hesitant about buying a Jensen product as I have heard they have declined in quality over the years, but I liked the feel and the look of this one over all the other ones, including the $699 Pioneer one they had. I am very happy with this player.

If it is installed correctly, the DVD screen will not work unless the parking brake is on. You can, however, go to google and search for "UV7i code" and enter in a code using the remote to turn "Brake Override" on. No more parking brake problem.

I got this player mainly because I am tired of commuting to college and when a class gets cancelled, I end up sitting in my car for a few hours with nothing to do except read. I have indeed read some good books while waiting for classes, but I don't really like to read, and this will give me something else to do if I want to.

When it plays a cd, if the cd has the info, it will display title and artist.


Eject the cd and it goes to the radio, and the screen displays your presets.

I do not notice any difference in sound quality from my Pioneer cd player. The only difference I can tell is that the AM tuner is not quite as strong. Other than that, I like it a lot. :)

Very nice! Do you have to remove your lighter to flip the screen up?

I'd like a touch-screen one just so I could hook up a PC and have access to music, movies, email, GPS/nav, etc.

yes, i do unfortunately have to remove the lighter, otherwise the screen is at a funny angle.

a touch screen would indeed come in handy for something like that but i am not that tech-savvy, i wouldn't have any idea how to do something like that lol! (although i do at least know that you can do many things with this player!)

Nice, it looks great! It would be fun watching movies when you're stuck in your car, that happened to me a few times and I bet that would make the time pass faster.
