1992 Daytona (56K gone fishing)

Picked her up thursday night. I only now got ter take it to the car wash + quick detail.

Crap Sony tape deck coming out soon. CD deck from Topaz going in.

Besides that theres just some minor things here and there. (burnt out tail light, head lights need to be adjusted, etc) Overall, I'm loving it.

Sweet car. That is in really great shape. The 3.0 is a great engine. The back seats on the Daytonas are a bit cramped, but whoever sits back there is going to have to sit there and like it :D

I just keep the rears folded down. That way I have more cargo room and if ppl want a ride I just tell em its a 2 seater and I can only take one, (GF).

Had a pretty dumb day with the car though. I went to Canadian Tire to get a new bulb for one of the tail lights. First thing that happened was there was no Dodge/Chrysler Daytona anywhere in their books, and I didn't have the part number off hand.

I asked the clerk why they didnt have the car, and he was dumbfounded when I said Dodge Daytona, he said he never heard of it. After going to the back for 15min saying hes gonna check the computer, I walked out.

Off to NAPA I went, Had them search the car on their computer and they brought up all bulbs for the ass end of the car, none of them looking anything close to the burnt one in the car. I finally asked for a couple tools, went out to the parking lot and took apart the the car to get the bulb and brought it back in. The real stupid part is that the bulb that I needed and fits doesnt go anywhere on the car according to the computer. WTF

I just hope finding simple parts for this thing won't always take 1 1/2 hours and 2-3 stops.

BTW Jory, is it just me or does the 3.0 grumble like a V8 under 2000 RPM?

And to the site staff. Is there anyway I can change my name from 87topaz to 92daytona ??? with out losing status, etc?

Yeah the 3.0 sounds totally badass, wait till you get to open it up when you put an exhaust on it. I love the 3.0L :)

No vids tonight :( My camera was being retarded and I only got a few pics. She's been waxed and detailed again, then driven down my dirt road which ruined it all.

Put my CD Deck back in.

Down by the River.
