Boom

this weekend I had a little exhaust leak from one of my glasspack... and yesterday... it tore appart... so I've decided to cut both exhaust in front of both glasspacks... (so I've got about 1-2 feets of pipe from the H-pipe) The sound is insane, can't hear myself thinking at a certain RPM, when it idle it's nice and loud, when I accelerate a bit that's insane and at WOT it's not too bad but the sound is fugly!

I might try to attempt to do my first exhaust job and getting them out on both sides, as I don't have money for decent muffler I might only do the pipe job and eventually I'll bring it to a exhaust shop to weld it all togheter with some mufflers... I'll take a clip this afternoon as I've worked all night and I'm awake since yesterday @ 7.30am.... All I hope is not getting arrested until this weekend!!

Yeah the cops will be all over you if its really as loud as you say. Of course i dont know what the cops are like in Canada, but here in the U.S. your screwed if your car has a remotely loud exhaust.

Are you speaking for the WHOLE US there, sparky?

Where I live, the cops could give two shits about how loud your exhaust it.

Well I guess just were I live is that way then. In fact they are so strick about sound that i have gotten pulled over for my music being to loud when my window was down. The sad thing is that I have a low end stock stereo with almost zero bass.

sounds sweet. I think it would be good (and cheap) to just stick straight pipes out the back. And there would be a lot less noise inside the car since it doesn't dump out right underneath you!

yeah inside sound is my main concern for now...!! I'm still wondering whether I'm going to route them out to the back or on the sides...

Dont buy a cheap bender and hope you can bend pipes yourself. I already made that mistake. Just go buy this kit. Flowmaster U-Fit Dual Kits - JEGS

I ended up using it for my Mountaineer exhuast and it worked great.

yeah I think you should buy pre-bent pipes, that's what I did when I did the exhaust on my car. Cheaper than buying a bender anyway. And I think having dual pipes out the back would look better on a vic than side exits.
