Police Interceptor push bumper

I thought this would be a bright idea. I think it came out well. I had to cut a little off the frame up front to make the push bumper fit, and I currently cannot have my front tow rings that came stock on the Ranger. I believe I can put them back on if I switch them left to right and move my license plate, but I’ll worry about that some other time.

1987 Ranger:
Roll Bars & Bull Bars, fair share of battle scars, plenty of lights, rock crawling lights under chasis, small lift, Tonoeau Cover, most of the electrical wireing is my own, Sony Head Unit with 500watt amp & 3 12" subs. Extended Cab, 11 meter 5 watt CB/PA radio, 800 CM transciever, 2 meter Yaesu 50 watt transciever / weather reciever, + much more! (nicknamed "The Batmobile") See me driving around with the 12 foot antenna and red flag on back (easy to find in parking lots or if I ever loose it in some big puddle.)

Re: Police Interceptor push bumper

Looks good man. What is the purpose. Do you need to push vehicles often? Or is it just for looks?

Re: Police Interceptor push bumper

I put it on there because I wanted something on the front really, both for my lights and to let the truck stand out a little.
I have a brush guard that I pulled off of something else and cut to fit my 87 Ranger, but I didn’t want to do more cutting to make it fit my new truck, plus it would have looked kinda weird.
Since I put it on, I’ve used it to push some random stuff; dead vehicles out of intersections on two occasions, my old Ranger up my driveway when I ran out of gas, and it’s nice when I need to park in close quarters and don’t have to worry about bashing up my bumper.
Other than that, it’s just cool to have.
