Before I typed this, I had to make a list so I would not forget anything. I am sure that I did, and will add them later if I think of anything else

Over the past few weeks, I have been doing tons of work on my truck, getting it looking real nice. Almost every part I needed I was able to find in the junk yard, since I have an 87 Ranger, there are plenty in there for me to pick through, not to mention the Bronco II's.

Interior:
-Mounted CB in old ash tray, had to cut out the tracks so it fit
-Mounted Ham radio in glove box, which also had to be cut quite a bit
-built a volt meter into my dash board so I keep tabs on my battery, that had to be all cut up
-put in a seat belt, making my truck a little more legal, which resulted in two broken tols just getting in in there and the old one out
-got a sliding rear window, something I always wanted, gonna put that in when the warmer weather shows up

Enterior:
-Replaced one front fender where I hit a building, painted that up
-found a push bar for a fullsize, which had to be cut and painted to to match my bumper
-new (used) bumper, needed to be painted and cut a little to fit the already cut brush guard
-new grill which I did not have to cut, thank god
-air gate for the back, kinda looks weird when I roll out the toneau cover but oh well
-rear quarter pannel was rusting, so I cut out the rust, welded ona new pannel, bondo and paint several times over, and looks real nice.
-hit a snow bank while I was still working on that side, so I had to band it back out and start over
-wired the lights on my roll bars so they actually work right, with the new back up lights up there
-got some mounts for my bed, both on top of the sides and some eye bolts for down on the floor

Engine:
-I got some small parts that I needed, like seals and stuff
-Planning a total rebuild within about a month, my engine is getting really tirid at 165,000 miles

I know that there are several things that I did not list in here, I will put them later if I think of them, I will also post some pix as soon as get my hands on a camera

Sounds like you have been busy!!! I have been tryn to fight off taking my last week of vacation until spring/summer so I can get some much needed TLC done to my X. When I do, my list will probably be as long as yours...

hehe, just to add to the cutting, I got a rubber bed matt out of an old Jeep Comanche for my ranger today. It was too big, so after a few hours, I cut it down to size. I was lucky I didn't loose any fingers to the razor blade, that was the only thing I could really get to work. I will try to get some pix soon, I have to find a camera

This is great. My two bumpers, grill guard, right front fender and left side of the bed are painted new, and the rest is still dull. That is what mudd caked on is for. Here are some pix

Where there was a massive rust hole, I cut out the rust, welded on a new part on top, bondo'd, painted a few times, got into an accident, banged out, and re painted. You would never be able to tell, even if the mudd was not there

This is how I deal with the paint not matching exactly. Just cake on the mudd. That is the fender that I replaced. Notice that the pin stripe does not continue and that the Ranger emblem is not on that side. Those will be back on soon.

Here is an idea of the are that I replaced. The primer was on there so it wouldn't rust while I was working on it. Notice the small accident behind the wheel. This photo doesn't do it justice, it was all dented up the side of the truck, but it is all better now.
