I use mothers also. It works great. To restore the old dingy aluminum parts try wet sanding them with some 1500 wet/dry paper then buff the part with rubbing compond then switch to the mothers rim polish.

I have been trying to restore some aluminum motorcycle parts for someone and they were pretty rough. with lots of sanding and even more polishing with the dremel things are starting to look good. I clean, sand, clean, sand some more, clean, then spend countless hours with polishing compound, dremel, and polishing wheel and finish it off with mothers aluminum polish. This is usually steps I take, and the finished product turns out real nice although very time consuming. I was just curious if anyone did anything different.

Thanks
