Dings Dings Dings

Ok, i bought my truck used, its got little rock dings no more than a quarter inch deep, and maybe an inch acrost, what do you suggest to get these out, and also are their any good tutorials on using bondo?? i dont want to pay a million dollars to have the work done, and it would be more rewarding to do it myself.....Thanks guys (&gurls)

Man, I don't know for sure, but I bet ol' Russ has some ideas on this subject. Try and catch up to him, and see what he says. Don't tell him that I sent you, just in case he gets pissed. O.K.? You promise? Man, don't be messin' me up with Russ!:nono: He's going to teach me how to paint my truck one day soon. Anyway, good luck with your bondo project. Man, I'm serious, don't tell Russ that I sent ya,: because I'll deny it. I've got to stay on his good side. Peace. Remember, MUMS the word.

I think you have to warm the surface or something for the dry ice. It makes it stick to the area then you give it a tug.

I tried those paintless dent removal rods before too... It worked okey for minor dingers but if it had any type of edgeor if the paint was cracked it didn't work worth a damn.

Now what I HAVE had some success with is a glue on stud gun. It's pretty crazy... I have used the stud guns for mig welders before and I never thought that hot glue would work, but it sure does. You press this hot glue gun up against the ding and hot glue a little rod to the area. After the glue hardens you give it a tug and voila, no more ding. Then you just warm the glue with a heat gun or hair dryer and peel it off.
