LED TaiL LigHt bUlbs to0 ExpeNsiVe!!

Ive got a pair of clear tail lights on my 90 Ranger XLT and I prefer to use the LED tail light bulbs because they attract less attention from the police, especially at night. I also like them because the are clear until power is sent to the bulb. You cant tell theres a bulb in the tail light. But they burn out TOO often, (every other month or so) and at 8 bucks a pop, on a teenage budget, its not really gonna happen. Anyone got any ideas for alternatives that would be cheaper?

Sounds like somethings wrong. LEDs shouldn't burn out. I had some in another truck and I used them for about a year. Only problem I had was the lesser load on elec system made them blink fast. I added a socket and put regular bulbs in with LEDs(left them behind tail light) blink returned to normal. Maybe u got some bad ones...maybe APCs(crap). Try some from CATZ(fet-usa.com-I think).
