Seatbelt too tight

My seatbelt is too tight on my '98 Explorer Eddie Bauer. It's so bad that it cuts off circulation on my right leg. After long drives I feel like I have a pinched nerve.

Anyone ever experienced something like this?
Any ideas?

Thanks!

my g'dad had that problem in an oldsmobile. it turned out to be his seats.

maybe you can put a dog bone shaped sponge in your lap when you drive to help alleviate the pressure. iono

is it like that as soon as you attach the seat belt? if it starts fine and sinches up and you cant pull it out as you are driving the the catch is grabbing, if you can still pull it out while driving than I really dont know what to say other than that spring is sure wound tight:puzzled:

ohh yea, i forgot about that, my family used to be chevy lovers. and the seatbelts would lock, and you couldnt move for nothin. HUGE pain in the back side. is that what you mean?

Thanks for your replies. The seatbelt starts out ok & gets tighter while driving. I can still pull it out again, however, within two minutes it's tight again!
