| I agree funsocialTiger, nuFinish is probably not something I'd use on a new vehicle. I've got a '93 Geo Metro, and have used it on this little "beater" car . You sound like you've got a lot of experience detailing cars, and I'm sure these guys (myself included) would appreciate some more of your input. I would like to try some of the Klassee waxes, but don't know where to find it locally. I may do a search on the net and see if I can order some. I've read a lot of good reviews on this wax. Also, zaino is supposed to be really good, but I don't know if I have the time or patience to go through all the steps. I'm sure if I ever got started detailing, I'd be hooked. I'm a perfectionist, and I wouldn't stop until I learned everything to do a near perfect job. I can imagine how "addictive" this could become. I look forward to seeing more of your input funsocial Tiger. Peace. Darby

| Hey Darby, Well, Klasse is an acrylic based sealant / polish, not a wax per se. It's a really simple system to use, especially on a newer car since you can optionally skip some of the prep steps. There is Klasse AIO (All in One) which is the polish, you just do one coat of that (two for an older car), and then there is SG (Sealant Glaze). The SG is completely nonabrasive and noncleaning. You can layer as much SG as you want. You need say 2+ layers of SG for your protection to last 6 months, more than that you get a little more protection with each coat but the main bonus is that it makes your paint look darker and darker. Im at 4 coats of SG right now (Ive been told it more or less peaks at 5) and the color or my paint is awesome. It is so dark. It has become like a blood red now. It just looks really rad on red, and I've been told black too. As for where to find it... I think some porsche or bmw dealers might have it but that it can be hard to find both the AIO and SG. (Note if you can only find the AIO that the AIO cant really be layered like the SG.) Personally, I bought mine from properautocare.com. $40 gets you the Contours kit, which is AIO, SG and 3 MF applicators. All you need is that and some wipe towels, ideally MF as well. It's not that expensive and I've found easy to use once you do a few coats. But of course, just like Zaino, ideally before you put on Klasse you would want to claybar and dawn wash for optimal results. But once again that is optional on a new car... And finally... as for which you should choose... Zaino is a polymer sealant / polish line which is best on light and metallic cars, Klasse is best on dark flat colors especially red and black. | Thanks a lot Laurence. I can actually understand what you're talking about, with your detailed steps. I haven't used the clay bar cleaning system, but would like to try it. I have heard that this is one of the most important prep steps to insure a good job. what type clay bar do you use and/or recommend? I could really get into this detailing stuff, if I get a good start. I know it takes considerable time, but the rewards would be worth it. I like the idea of the klassee sealant being a little more simple to apply. From what you've described, a person should get the painted surface really clean (dawn & clay bar), apply Klassee AIO, and finish up with several coats of the sealer. I believe that I could do that! I'm glad some of you detailing dudes have joined us here, and again, I look forward to more of your great advice. Thankc a lot. Darby Williams:thumbsup:

Do you use the Megyires Gold on that bad a$$ Cobra? I showed that to my wife, and now she wants one! Thanks A LOT DUDE!!! Just kidding. Sure enough, I think that I may try the Gold on my truck, before I send off for anything. Thanks for the input, and welcome to the site. darby

| TURTLE WAX ALNOG WITH THE OTHERS HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO NOT BE GOOD FOR YOUR CARS AND TRUCKS! THE ONLY PRODUCE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS IS ZAINO! THE ZAINO BROS DID SOME FIELD TEST ON THE WAXES THAT ARE ON THIS POLE. tHEY WAXED A CAR THEN PUT IT INTO THE HEAT FOR SEVERAL HOURS (ARIZONA TO BE CORRECT). bELIEVE IT OR NOT BUT YOU COULD SEE THE WAX MELTING RIGHT OFF THE CAR! ZAINO IS THE ONLY WAX THAT I KNOW OF THAT BONDS WITH YOUR PAINT AND IT LAST A YEAR!

| Yo Bags, What's happening? Man, do you use the Zaino system? If so, do you go through all the recommended steps? I'm not lazy, but it seems like it would take a couple of days to put on all the applications, after I clean it the way they suggest. The Zaino is actually a polymer or sealant, instead of a wax, from what I understand. A person would need to have their vehicle cleaned really good, before putting on this type of sealer. I'm sure it would be worth the effort, if I had the time. Also, you have to order the Zaino via the internet. If I had a brand new truck like yours, I wouldn't have any reservations about going first class with this waxing process. Heck, I may cave in and order the dern stuff (Zaino). For off the shelf products, I've read that the Meguires Gold is one of the best, but it doesn't last nearly as long as the Zaino. You probably wouldn't have to apply the Zaino more than twice a year if it was done right. I'll figure it out. Take care Bag Man. PEACE. Darby

| I only was able to apply 1 coat of the Klasse all-in-one, not even the sealent glaze yet....The results on my black truck are amazing! After doing a small square area on my hood, you could tell the black paint was much blacker and clean looking.
