I have noticed that some of the web sites mention using silicone to seal the Euro taillights before you install them. Does anyone know why you would want to use silicone to seal the edges of the taillights? I would think that they would be sealed when they were assembled at the factory. Has anyone heard of anyone having their euro tails leaking?:puzzled:

Alot of euros are cheaply made. If there is any opening, moisture can get inside(like when it's humid out).
I see alot of euros that leak, it's the nature of the beast. Using the silicone is just a safety not a guarantee.

I have ordered a set of Euro tails made my APC, what do U know about the quality of this brand? Right now they are back ordered due to the long shormans strike.

thats what i have and i live in hot, humid south fla and i've have had mine for 2 months and havd no leaks....i didnt use silicone.....i also got the APC's. So thats my 2 cents and i'm gone.

Just found out from a buddy who owns a customizing shop that APC has not even started making these Euro tails??? APC 404529TLR. Guess I will have to contact www.sounddomain where I ordered them and see what gives.
