| To finalize my Grille Gutter Guard Inquiry! Heh guys, I finally did complete my grille mesh project. Man did it turn out awesome! I am very pleased and it only took me an hour or so. Thanks for the info and references. Just a note to everyone, this is a cool upgrade, it's cheap, and it is super easy. Don't overlook it. Check out the picture below. Please let me know what everybody thinks. I need the ego boost! Thanks.![]()

| GRILLE INFO I went to Home Depot, bought the Gutter Guard which is about 12" x 36", which cost me $1.20 each.(I bought 2 just in case I screwed one up) I also bought some stuff called "GOOP" which is a Plumbers Contact Cement for about $3.50. I have read of someone else using JB WELD as well. I then removed my grille from my truck and cleaned it until it was spotless. Next, I laid the guard over the back side of the grille and outlined the openings on the back side with marker, leaving about an inch overhang. Then, using a good pair of cutters, I cut out the pieces to attach behind the grille. After placing a generous amount of adhesive around each opening, I then held them in place using clamps or weights and let it dry overnight. Next morning, just unclamp or remove the weights and you are done! Re-install the grille and you are finished. Just one word of caution, make sure that the mesh will not interfere with reinstalling the grille afterwards. It came pretty close on some points but did not pose a problem. I hope this helps. Also, there is a great "how-to" on The Ranger Station website. I am not necessarily promoting another site, just saying that someone has already done a "how to" to help everyone.

| Forget the aerostar grills, LOL. I put a Trenz Billet Grille on mine, looks tight as hell with my purple neon lighting it up at night. Yeah, those gutter grill mesh jobs are becoming popular. Had a guy in my club install some on his front valence about 3 months ago. He painted it red and it lights up green with his neon mounted above it. (glow is only visible, not the tube, duh.) No need to buy those pre-made APC grill mesh's they offer at Autozone and the like, much cheaper to do it yourself! |

| :thumbsup:That rocks!! I love when someone finds a cheap mod that looks high dollar. I actually thought about doing that on my 150 a couple of years ago, but I went billet instead. I had the chrome grill with the similar grill center. Nice Job!!,,,,98 |
