how hard is that? what kind of process do you have to go through to paint, ie; prep work, primer, what paint? can you guys post pics of the steps doing it? so everyone can see the progress of the steps!

i didnt primer anything :smokin:. there is a sticky on rps with a how-to on it. i just sanded the pieces cleaned them with a degreaser to get off any oil and then put like 5 very light coats of red krylon paint so it wouldnt run. didnt use a clear becuase i didnt want it to be too shiney. mine looks good. if you guys want pics of mine ill load some pics of what i have done so far. just let me know

I painted this black metallic because I have a black truck. The picture does not really do the metallic justice. I was real easy. I cleaned and sanded the pieces, then about 5 light coats of paint, then 4 coats of clearcoat.:fordsrule:

if you put the paint on a "high traffic area" such as door handles doesn't it wear off pretty fast? how long does the paint usually last in other areas?

first of all i have known people that have had it on there quite a while and under normal use you should be fine, especially if you use primer.
