1988 bronco transmisson help!!

im having problems with my AOD in my bronco and im trying to get advice of why this is happening so your info will be a great help!!
heres the problem..
when the truck is cold my transmission shifts in all gears just fine.
but once it warms up it only shifts in 1st and 2nd perfectly, but 3rd and 4th. forget it. when it trys to shift into 3rd and i let off the gas the rpms fall to about idle, when i give it gas the tranny picks back up in second gear.

example. ill be going 40mph. in second gear the engine will be at say 3000.
it should shift into third at the point. but it doesnt. when i let off the gas it doesnt even shift. the rpms slowly drop down to about 1000 or idle.
when i give it gas it only acclerates when i get the motor back up to 3000 then it locks in 2nd. and overdrive doesnt even engage at any speed. even 65. the motor just screams in 2nd.

whats goin on here? are my 3-4 clutches burnt or is it a valve body problem??

help....
