Cat Back?

They're talking about an exhaust system that installs behind the catalytic converter. You can usually find more info. about certain products, by viewing the frequently asked questions(f.a.q.)option on a lot of their web-sites. I hope this helps. Be cool. Darby:wavey:

it is designed to retain the catalytic convertors to retain it's emissions legal status.

Not sure if its a difference in area, but if you purchase a "Cat-Back" system here, you are also receiving the cat as well. "After-Cat" systems here will get you everything behind the cat, retaining your old one.

As far as whether or not to do it.....I went to the local redneck muffler shop and got a nice 2 3/4" dynomax stainless After-Cat system installed for $200.

Well you got jipped on your install.

My local muffler shop suggested a Dynomax perf. muffler for my 4cyl because it had the best gains for my engine. And it did. I had the exhaust re-routed so that I get the most sound out of that muffler. Its freakin awesome(nice low throaty tone).

My install, cat-back may i remind you, cost me $150 plus tax. Not bad.

I would definitely suggest a cat-back system. I really like the results from my Dynomax system, but i know Magnaflow has great results too, especially the sound that you get out of them. :fordsrule:

Well, If I lived in your area, I might have, but prices of product vary from location to location. and this was a good deal based on price comparison.
