F150 Lightning

Has anyone here ever heard of the F150 "Nite" series? I owned a 92' NITE, and it has to be the vehicle I most regret selling. It was black, with blue pinstripes and flareside wheel wells. Also had the painted matching cover on the back.

How could I sell it :(

LOL, sorry about the thread title... I was thinking of the wrong series when I posted this! I meant NITE! :)

Re: F150 Lightning

There is one down the road from me forsale. I never looked close but it seemed to be in decent shape.
I remember when a local dealer had one in 92. It was a 302 5spd, I wanted it bad but had to settle for a 4cyl ranger instead.

Mine was a 305 5spd! Very fun truck to drive, and I got compliments on it all the time. Unfortunately, after 100k miles, the thing had so many problems that I eventually had to sell it. Seemed like one thing just broke after another.

Remeber the truck well and see one around every so often. Thought the stripe was blue that faded to purple, but I could be wrong. Now you must have had a 302, as Ford did not make it with a 305. They only came with a 302 or 351. That is unless you did some work yourself to increase the CID on the 302. They even have an emblem on the dash that says "Nite". Good lookin trucks, but after those trucks got so old they turned into a money pit.

Re: F150 Lightning

I have seen a few of those around...one of my friends is also having one,he bought it from the dealer with 73,000mi on it. It seems to have a lot of power and we think it's been modified, but there isn't any performance parts on it that we can see.
