What brand of oil do you reccomend?

I think that the former owners used Castrol GTX in my 2.3L engine. Is this good oil? I'll be back! See ya. DARBY:wavey:

any FULL synthetic oil will be good. Lately I've been using Mobil1 but I've used Castol Syntec in the past. The Quaker state synthetic seems a bit on the thin side.

I have had good luck with Castrol. I also want to take a minute to recommend an oil filter: FRAM A person I know works for a place that manufactures diesel engine parts. He gets annual analyzation reports on different engine products. Fram was rated at the top of the list for filters and proved to remove the most ppm (parts per million) of debris from engine oil.

Castrol GTX is the only way to go. Synthetics are a waste of money in my opinion. Motorcraft has the best filter on the market believe it or not.

It depends on the engine. In my jeep I use Kendall 10W30 and either Fram or Purolater filters. On the engine I have in my ranger now I used redline synthetic and a K&N filter or a Fram Racing filter.
