| DYNOMAX DYNOMAX DYNOMAX!!!! As far as pricing, I have no idea...It varies from area to area. Just call a local muffler shop and see what they would charge. Make sure you price around, too. I have used dynomax on every vehicle I have put exhaust on. It gives that "rumbling" sound without the excessive noise. Hope this helps! Jeremy

| Check out the Borla website-when you bring up the vehicle you want them on, you'll hear a wav file of what the truck will sound like with the Borla system installed. And you can get the Borla for less through AutoZone, Advance or O'Reilly-generally about 650 for the cat-back. |

| Does anyone know anything about Walker? I called aplace today and that is what they use. He said they sound awesome. I have never heard of them. ![]()

| Walker is a mainstay brand that has been around damn near forever-they make systems that will fit just about anything-I owned a hopped-up 2.0L Pinto that had true duals on it, made by Walker. They have great sound, and are VERY reasonably priced!!!:thumbsup: |

| That muffler shop told me he would put em on for 325.00. That seems to be about the norm for around here in VA. 250.00 for Flowmaster w/tips was the cheapest I found. I am going to continue to shop around. Are the Walkers usually loud as hell or are they have that deep throaghty sound?

| One guy just advised me to get Turbos. (true Dual Exhaust) He said Flowmaster was too loud cruising down the interstate but the turbos sound nice at a low RPM and were not too loud at high RPMs. I am thinking with a 5.4 V8 flows would be too loud. 14 guage aluminized pipes chrome or stainless steel for 260.00 parts and labor.

| well.. my friend has had about 6 different exhaust setups on his truck.... and about flows thundering on that v8..... that is partly true.. What i have found is it depends on how the truck is driven. like i have not heard another v6 with as loud flows as mine.. i set off car alarm after car alarm. this was because i was hard on it and i "ragged out" the muffler. perfect example.. i have 2 friends with 5.4 with single in dual out flows. both have pipes out the back. one drives the speed limit and isnt hard on his truck... you can hear the exhaust but its NOTHING like the other one where the owner has a leed foot and always floors it at the lights... My suggestion is go for the flowmaster 40 series Delta flow. the delta flow is a little quieter in the cab. but still sounds loud outside. and it will sound AWESOME at idle. thats what i would do if you didnt want anything to loud. make sure you go out the back to.. cause it makes it quieter also.

| Waldo, I called this guy in Richmond. The name of the place is Larry Green tire & exhaust. His # is 804-379-9993 www.larrygreentireandexhaust.baweb.com It would probably be worth the drive down for 260.00 versus having to pay 450.00. The only problem is you may have to take a day off because he is not open on weekends. Let me know if you need anymore help.

| GT takeoffs I bought a 2001 GT takeoff exhaust system from Midwest Mustang (easily found on Ebay) for my 96 V6 Mustang. The shop I took it to said that they couldn't weld the mufflers back on due to the place the seller cut the pipes for shipping. I had Flows put on and took the GT mufflers home. When doing the exhaust on my 5.0 Ranger, I took my Ranger and the GT mufflers to a different shop and had him weld up the Mustang mufflers on my truck. I drew out what I wanted and he installed it all PERFECTLY! From the Explorer headers through the front set of Explorer cats (I deleted the second set as the '87 5.0 Mustang only used one set of cats.), through the set of GT mufflers, over the rear axle and out the rear under my bumper through 22 inch long 3.5 inch diameter chrome tips. This setup sounds GREAT! Nice deep rumble yet quite civilized :smokin: The entire GT takeoff system cost $130 (shipping included) On the Stang, adding the H-pipe adapter, labor, and Flows, I paid about $300 On the Ranger, all I paid for was labor, exhaust pipe, and tips for a total of $250

| Look if you want real performance, and good quality muffler. Flowmaster Delta Flows! Great sound, but very toned down compared to the normal 40 series! I SAY GO WITH FLOWMASTER......highflow cats and an H-/or X-pipe.

| I asked a guy I work with who has an ex. cab with a 5.4. His sounds real nice. Good low tone at idle, and a throaty but quiet sound when he gets on it. He said he has a Flow Pro muffler (just one) splitting into 3" duals out the back hugging his hitch. He paid $300 total for the Stainless steel. Aluminized would be cheaper. It was a local Muffler Man shop.

| I had flows on my last f150 and like bomber, i set off car alarms, woke the family up when it started, etc. you put it at 3000 RPM in 3rd gear and i could wake up the whole neighborhood. in 5th gear on the interstate it was a soft pur. i am going to call that guy after i have surgery. my last truck had 1 40 si/do with 24 inch long 3 inch pipes out the back. $270 bucks. here the cheapest I found is 400 bucks. im confused. but im goin to VA
