What size speakers fit my Ranger?

Will standard 6x9 speakers fit in the doors and behind the seats of my '94 Ranger? I've heard that some types are to deep to fit in the panels. Got any info.?Be cool, and I'll check you later. I'm OUT .DARBY:wavey:

you will need to do some cutting in the door panel to get a 6x9 to fit in a 5x7 place.

the depth of the speaker isn't all that important. The factory sizes in a 93/94 ranger is 5"x7". You can also fit a 5" round if you build an adapter plate out of some tin.

I have 6x9's

I put brand new Polk 6x9's in the front doors and the rear behind my seats and I had no prob. If you go to Circuit City or Best Buy or Pioneer's website, Pioneer makes 6x9's custom fit for the 93-97 ranger/mazda. I had those in before I got new ones. I have to look at the model numbers tomorrow, cuz I still have them. I will let ya know.(I have a 97):fordsrule:

Yeah, keep in mind, he said custom-made 6x9's to fit. Normal 6x9's do not fit in those holes.

I had bought some alpine 6x9's and they didn't fit, but I threw them in some 6x9 boxes and ran them anyways. I ended up swapping out the factory's crap back there(extended cab) for some Memphis 5x7's. Well worth it.

You really need to replace your door speakers as well. It really, really, really, really, helps. Can't stress it enough! And don't leave that stock head unit in there either, pick up a nice one somewhere online. (www.onlinecarstereo.com)

Any normal retail store is going to charge you much more. Check out their prices, they list exactly what you would pay at a store and how much you would save. I bought mine there for 279, at Circuit City it was 349. Free shipping as well! :chevysucks:
