So I am new to this site and I was curious to find someone with some info. I am looking for a supercharger for my 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4. It has the 4.0L V-6 and I really want to crank the horsepower. Is there a company who makes a supercharger for that year and engine? If not, is there a turbocharger to push more air for added horsepower? Please let me know. Thanks.

Whats are some more advantages and dissadvantages with turbo vs. supercharger?

I figured the super would push the horsepower more, but the turbo may have quicker response to throttle. Any suggestions would be good. Just looking for a bigger response for the engine. Im going to lift the truck and throw some larger tires on there. Don't want the all show, with the no go response from people.

Yeah I have looked everywhere. Googled, asked shops, and no results. Unless I do something crazy like swap the motors and tranny and put in a Cobra motor. Might be well worth the punch.

just turbo it. i think its easier in the long run.
