6.0 death

Has anyone had a 2003 6.0 lose power for about 50 miles and then die? Mine did it last night and, so far, the Ford dealer has not been able to figure out the problem. There were no warning lights, guages all read fine, just no power going down the road (small hills that never effected it before made it lose 5-10 mph), trip computer showed that I was only getting about 7.5 mpg

Sounds a lot like the computer shorted out?

after a couple of days, the dealer was finally able to dignose the problem as being a high pressure oil leak (which they thought was caused by three bad injectors). after changing them out, the leak was still there. They looked into it some more and found the high pressure pump on the back of the engine to be leaking. i finally got my truck back and it runs LOTS better

Re: 6.0 death

I would just hope there was no damage done to the engine with that leak. Glad it runs better.
