| Powerstroke Diesel New 6.0L Powerstroke coming to a Ford dealer near you soonThe final production day for the current 7.3L is Nov 3rd. After that they switch to the new 6.0L. Preliminary info shows an approx 20% quieter engine. Watch for the 4.5L derivitive in 2005.

| i heard something about they were gonna start puting them in F2 and F350s. could be wrong info though.

| diesel update The CAT 3126 is one of the engine choices for the F650/750 ( in my opinion, the only choice ). we sell about 80% CAT with the Cummins ISB the rest. The 6.0L will be available in the F650 in Jan. From what I am hearing, it should be ready for the Super Duty by Feb or March. Ford is also working on a V-6 derivative for the F150.

| i think they should scrap the powerstroke and put a 425 horse/ 950 lbs.ft. torque cat diesel in in from a big rig. believe it or not i have seen that motor in a hummer! that thing went like stink on sh!t., for how heavy it is. it could smoke them without really trying.
