Turbo Ranger?

I was wanting to turbo charge my 3.0l v6. But can't find one i have heard of people swapping but i figgure I can put more power into the v6 into a little 4 banger no offense to 4 my brother has one. I plan to put a new chip in it new exhaust and add headers. What sould i do? I was thinking about converting a rayjay turbo that is used on airplanes but figured it might be to dangerous. right now i and running mid grade fuel because the timing is slighty advanced so i am not sure how much hp it has. What is the baseline horsepower for the ranger 3.0 leter v6 flex fuel.
Thanks

Re: Turbo Ranger?

a turbo is a good power option. but what about the miles? high or low? turbo will improve horsepwer even on small amounts of boost (4-5 psi). anything over will require head mods, bigger valves, high octain gas, a good head gasket. i would but a crate 302 in the ranger
