Welcome to the site, I have a 94 ranger myself, cant help with the motor part havent got that far with mine yet, as for the rear setting higher I have noticed most rangers are like that you may be able to lower it and get the stance you want.

Well with the engine! Its a complete swap, meaning you dont keep none of your stock parts, you cant!Youll need the wirirng harness from a stang, youll need the tranny, engine"duh" and depending on what rear end you have.. That too,You having the 4.0, you might have the 8.8 rear so your cool with that! But the swap does take alot of experience, and depending on that..TIME!MONEY!

As for the rear being higher, you might just need to take out the rear blocks, and level the truck out, thats what i did, but i am not sure if you have rear blocks!

hey thanks

hey thanks for your answers. what year mustang wiring harness do i need? why cnat i use mine?(im a rookie-sadly i know more about imprts than i do about trucks ) but if i have rear blocks where are they and how can i get them out?will it effect the ride quality? also, can i use the springs form another ranger that DOESNT ride up in the back(sounds like some missfitting jeans) also, will i need new moter mounts made or will mine fit, and finnaly does anyone make or sell a kit of something to do this to my truck cuz ive heard a lot of people putting 302's in thier trucks. thanks for everything, and if there is anyone living in columbia sc and has anything done to their truck then tell me thanks again
