I realize a speedo isn't something you have to have.. but hey... I have been having problems with my speedometer since I did my clutch about 2 months ago.. Its not that its completely dead.... It works fine as long as I am flooring it. But as soon as I let off just a little bit it my speedometer goes to zero. It seems to bounce around. I was told it was a ABS Speed Sensor so I replaced it. But that didn't help at all. So I'm kinda stumped I have a feeling that its something inside the cluster but I haven't taken the time to take it apart yet! If you have any ideas they will be greatly appreciated!

Is the speedo electrical ?.-
Hve you checked for a short ?.
Have you checked at a speedo shop-not a dealer ?.

Its a 96 ford ranger 2.3 It is a electrical speedo... and no there isn't a short... nope there isn't a speedo shop anywhere around here! I'm still thinkin its some kind of sensor problem, but im not sure...
