| I sell paint sprayers sometimes at my work and the bed liner might be a little bit to thick to spray. Besides that it would take more than $40 a coat because when it does spray 25% of what you have will float into the atmosphere as overspray. Not to mention the 3-400 dollars the sprayer would cost. Then again I am not sure that the liner is so t hick, I just assume it is since it is so durable.

| Well my father in law already has the sprayer / air compressor / etc and has said that I'm more than welcome to use it. He's curious if it would work also. He just bought his second King Ranch after totaling (literally crashing and burning) the first one and hasn't put a bedliner in the new one yet. If it did turn out well then he wants to do it to his also. We're both perfectionists so I'm sure between the two of us it would look nice, I'm just scared about messing up his sprayer. However if it did work then between our families trucks we would be saving well over $1500 in the bedliners we would be putting in this year; total of 4 trucks. If the mix was too thick, what about adding extra water to the mix and increasing the drying time? |

| NO----- MOISTURE VERY BAD! moisture droplets getting caught under the liner causes rust, so think about it! maybe some kind of paint thinner?

| i wouldnt even think about trying to thin out the mixture, if it doesntwork in the sprayer, i would brush it, or roll it. its not worth compromising the finish of your truck just to save time. paint thinner can mass up the finish of your truck also, bad idea.

| the K&N item :1997 FORD Ranger TRUCK 2.3L L4 F/I 57-2535 FIPK Manual Trans only, is a complete intake, from the throttle body to the air filter, check out : http://www.kandn.com/instructions/57-2535.pdf , that is K&N's instalation guide. will give you an idea of what is involved. item E-0995 is just a factory replacement filter. you would be keeping all the restrictive factory tubing. as to MPG, using a free flowing intake/filter, free flowing exhaust, will let the engine breath better, and make the engine a little more efficient, if you use a completely new intake tube system (K&N, MAC, ECT), a heat sheiled for the tube would be good, this will keep the intake air, as close to the tempurature the MAF reads it, as it get to the throttle body, the 2 heat sheilds i know of are thermotec at about $50bucks, and C&R racing (nascar radiator manf) sells a gold stick on heat sheild for about $30.00 a linier foot (24"x1') hope this helps. |
