When you get them you gotta clean your connection ports so I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned again and then cleaned again. Went to install it and it wouldnt start, ,cleaned more, wouldnt start, cleaned more, wouldnt start.

Then I remembered part of the directions, it said that some computers have a flaw in them and you might need to put a drop of soder on the board :puzzled: So it looks like I gotta soder somethin. They say that if you call them then they will send you instructions on email with pictures.

So 375 bucks and 3 hours of trying and cleaning and retrying I am gonna try to soder it.





Just wanted to let everyone know there might be problems on 99 and up F150s.

On a lighter note since I had to take the computer out it obviously got reset.

I never realized how good a v6 full size truck with 32 inch tires could roast tires. :-)

hey man what kind of chip did u get??? i spent about an hour cleaning my port... the bottom was the hardest for me...

the lady is supposed to email me the instructions on sodering. im still waiting.

i spent about 2-3 hours cleaning and installing and re-cleaning and reinstalling. they never told me my computer code was on the "soder list"

ok they sent me the directions to soder. i sodered it, resodered, and then did it again. still wont work. i am going to wait until my dad takes a vacation so that i can drive his car while i overnight my computer to them which wont be until like march :-( this pisses me off

I have heard that both the super chip and diablo can have this type of problem. When i get a chip i am going to try the diablo and we will see if it is any better. It will be a while though....

I took the computer to a TV repair place and they sodered my connections for me. now i know how fast i am going and shifting is AWESOME. i have half a tank of 87 octane and the streets are icec but as soon as i get to fill up again ill put premium in and use the other side of the chip. well worth the money so far.
